In this set
it is evident the artist was working with ‘anatomy
& movement’ to capture a sequence of movement and action within non-static
poses. In these four drawings you can see the artist has made their mark over a
quick succession of time due to general lack of detail but has focus more on
observing and getting the movement from the sequence down. This has been done
well as you can see from each of the drawings the artist has observed carefully
and managed to get the basic level of anatomical detail as the proportions are
correct from the perspective of the viewer plus there is a sense of balance and
weight within the poses due to this adequate level of detail. And from the care
took in this it shows how active the model is being even though there is not a
large amount of sketches done in each sequence and also that not every body
part may be moving but it still remains fairly active. For example in the last
drawing where only the legs are moving yet you can still see how active the
movement is within the sequence which the artist has successfully managed to
capture.
