In this set
the artist was continuing to work with ‘anatomy &
movement’ but this time it is evident there is a more fair balance between the
levels of anatomical detail and the sequence of movement within the drawings.
This is evident as the artist’s work this time is far more detailed than in the
previous set. For example in each of these drawings the models anatomy has been
taken into account much more as from the artist’s perspective as the they have
included bodily details such as the lines and creases the way the models weight
rests when the body is set into several different positions and also which
could also be basic features of the model’s musculature. There has also been
some good use in foreshortening in the first two of the drawings where the
perspective has been changed. As for the movement the artist has still
successfully perceived the notion of the model actively moving even though
there is only a limited amount of sketches in each of these sequences. This
shows that the models movement has been keenly observed to have both got the
main essence of movement down and also having retained that level of detail.
