Still Life: 2
Both of these images are my second post in still life. These two pieces were based around capturing the form of the objects that were used in the process. As is evident in the first image negative space was used to capture the essence of the objects. This makes it so that the viewer would really look at the shape of the objects. The most significant point of interest in this piece would be the central collection of the objects and from there the implied line would take them to the bottle to the right then to the small glass of the left. As this piece was negative space there isn't much shading involved. I slight problem with this piece however is that the to objects on the left and right could be perceived as orphaned which brings the images down every so slightly. The shading in the second image image is quite detailed and the light and reflections have been taken into mind, this is very evident on the large vase on the right and the small one in the center. Also by the way that it has been shaded has captured the 3-D form of the objects. A major problem in this piece is that some of the objects are kissing which lowers the quality it. Both of these images used the same objects which we're set out in a pleasing arrangement, and the lighting withing the second piece made for an excellent perspective on the objects.
