Still Life: 3

This piece is focused on shading the shadows that were cast by the objects used in the piece. As can be told in this image the shading is of an exceptional quality as the shading helps capture and display the shadows in the arrangement. The shading really helps to distinguish the light spots and the shadows form one another, as can be seen for example the sphere in the top of the piece where the object has light reflecting in the top and gets darker in the bottom where the shadows we're cast. The greatest point of interest within this piece would be the drapery on the table, this would be because the level of the work on that area is of a much higher standard than the other two objects. However the drapery may be the focus point the viewers eyes would be first focused on the sphere, from their there could be a implied line that would take the viewer to the cone and then finally to the drapery. Something that could be done to make this piece better could be that there could be a background scene which would make the arrangement stand out to the viewer to make it more pleasing to the eye.
