Still Life: 5

The arrangement in this piece is very pleasing to the eye and has managed to be organized without the objects within the scene kissing too substantially. None of the objects have been orphaned either with overall makes the arrangement very nice.  As a viewer I can see that the implied line goes from the large colander on the left then toward the section of that object where it meets the baseball where the reflection is, I feel that this is the main focus point of the entire piece (the other points being the baseball, the book/bottle and the colander itself.) as this reflection has been done quite well even catching not only the baseballs reflection but the shadows that are present around that object. Then the line continues to move in the same direction over to the book and the up from the base of the bottle to its top. The shading around the base of the colander and some of the objects could use some work as it doesn’t reflect the objects like it should. And I feel that the contrast in this piece isn’t the best as it doesn’t help the objects stand out especially nearer to the shadows.
